I think this sounds like a really fun trip.  I've got to wait until my June schedule comes out before I'll know whether we can do it.  Probably by mid April.

Larry, since you were able to get the ferry pricing pretty quickly, do you know what they charge a tow a camper trailer???

also .. I am assuming that the ferry makes more than a few trips every day??

we just looked a the the map, from here it is only a 4 hour drive, then the farryand then the short trip to the park

Hi everyone, my name is Larry and I'm a Jeepaholic. Actually, I'm one of the organizers of the NSJC Jamboree in the Annapolis Valley. I read through the comments and hope I can give some good info to anyone that might like to join us in late June. Your dollar is worth $1.32+ right now in Canada.
This is our 11th Jamboree. After Jeep Canada pulled out, our club decided we wanted to continue with a Jamboree. We use Fox Mountain Camping Park as our base camp. When you buy a ticket (1 per attendee), rough camping is included. You can upgrade to a serviced site for about $10 per night. There are no other accommodations located nearby and we all enjoy the camaraderie of all the other Jeepers. If you purchase a ticket with meals ($50 CDN extra), the campground prepares breakfast (Fri, Sat, & Sun), boxed lunches for the trail (Fri & Sat) and dinner (Fri & Sat). Even if you don't add the meals, you can still buy meals at the canteen.
The CAT is expensive so I just checked the Saint John -Digby ferry and it looks like 2 people and a Jeep will cost $286 CDN return ($215 US), which will leave you about a 70 mile drive to base camp.
We offer 2 days of guided trail runs that range from our Jeeping 101 for the inexperienced right through to a couple of hard core trails. Typically, we have about 6-8 trails to choose from, so you can try 2 different trails during the event. On Thursday evening, after Tech Inspection of your Jeep (to determine what trails would be best for you), you can select your 2 trails. After dinner, we set up the RTI ramp for anyone wishing to check out your flex. By 9:00am Fri & Sat, we line up in our groups and head off to the trails. Fri evening, we have a mud pit for the brave and crazies. Sat evening is our closing ceremonies and draw prizes. These prizes are provided by local businesses and sponsors. Last year, almost half of all attendees won a prize that ranged from little things like hats and t-shirts to full sets of tires, lift kits, and winches.
I hope some of this info is useful and once our website is ready, I'll post a link. It'll have the registration form for those interested. I can also email the form if someone wants it. My email is idraft87@gmail.com

Wow. $250? This is looking more and more like a pipe dream of a trip.

That's true. It would be easier and cheaper to go to rausch creek. Unless they bring a ferry back to Bar Harbor I'm out.

The ferry out of St. John to Digby runs twice a day.   It's a two hour ferry ride.  They show a movie .comfortable seats food drinks.  Holds around 245 vehicles. 1300 people.  Costs $250 American in the off season over and back.   Not sure what it is in the summer 300 ish

I couldnt find any information as to the general location of where this event takes place.  Anyone else?   Are there motel options nearby?  If 3 of us pack a Jeep full of stuff for 4 days that makes a a pretty crowded 8hr ride.

The Cat should be starting back up in the spring Portland-Yarmouth.  They just don't do Bar-Harbor anymore.

I've met a few NSJC folks during the Bethel Jamboree - all nice people.  Their event used to be an actual Jeep Jamboree, but they decided to keep going when JJUSA pulled the plug on JJCanada.

Greetings from your Jeeping neighbor. As an organizer of our 11th Annual Jamboree, June 22-25, I would like to extend an invitation to your members. With the US $ so strong compared to our CDN $, this is a great time to take advantage and participate in our event. Early bird tickets are $125CDN (about $94.50) w/o meals or $175 ($132.25) with meals for the event. You can see more info on our Forum at http://nsjc.proboards.com/board/46/2017-nsjc-jeep-jam or on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/nsjcjamboree/
