I know but it's a matter of timing.  Maybe we'll leave the kids home and then hang out in Bangorafter the ride until the meeeting.

Just a thought,  you'll be literally driving past where the meeting is to get home.
We take Rte 9 to milford from silk st in brewer And go right past the restaurant.
Don't know what that sound is?  Keep driving. She'll let you know in a minute if it's going to be an issue...

So we woke up to about 8" of fresh snow this morning and the sound of the roof leaking in the rear sunroom (on the hockey equipment and pellets!).
We know that we need to shovel the roof.
We also know that we should probably allow at least two and a quarter hours for the trip to Milford if we do the run today.
This means that we need to choose between playing out on the stud mill rd with everyone in the Jeep or going to the meeting this evening.
Well- I'm going to make the call and say that we will meet everyone at 11 this morning for the ride but we will more than likely head home afterwards and not return to Brewer for the meeting.  It would be an incredibly long day for the kids and they have school tomorrow.
I hate to miss a second meeting but I'd really hate to miss a run...

Yes.  Mitford Mobil at 11am.
we'll be going out stud mill Rd to the pickerel pond runway for deep snow wheeling and recovery practice!

It will be a good time! Especially if folks don't have much experience in deep snow or cold!
it's a whole different type of wheeling than rock crawling.
Make sure all your fluids are full and your gear is packed well.
Make sure you have cold weather gear and good boots!
Don't know what that sound is?  Keep driving. She'll let you know in a minute if it's going to be an issue...

It's supposed to clear out really quick tomorrow morning. We shall see. Mine sees salt all the time anyways so no worries there. A bunch of fluid film and regular washing goes a long ways.

I'm gonna sit this one out.  I don't want to expose my jeep to the fresh salt/calcium chloride that's sure to be on the road with this snow storm.  Have fun!

Announcement!! Bill, Bud, and I went to Chick today to check it out and it's a major no go. Everything is groomed and while the mountain isn't it has a boat load of snow and it would just be a winch fest. So we cut our losses and tried to find something else for us to play on. We found a couple small things in the University forest behind leonards mills. Then we headed to Stud Mill and played out there for a while.

Soo it looks like thats where we'll be headed tomorrow for whoever wants to join us. Meeting at 11. I'm thinking at the Milford Shell right on the main drag. I'll let Bill chime in after he gets back from tubing later. Hope to see everyone there. We'll have a blast anyways. I know we did today. Airing down helped a ton too!

I have a pretty good understanding of the sled trails in the area so no worries there. I'm in and it looks like 11 is the time to meet!

There seems to be some interest in a ride for this Sunday the 22nd.  Not quite sure of any details except that it's probably Chick Hill.
I think there are three or four people interested so far; the more the merrier.
Post up of you are interested.
I'm jonesing...
