Title: Trail ride at Cap Rock Estates Sunday Oct. 1st.
Post by: TJKDave on September 27, 2017, 06:44:10 PM
This is one of our members private property that he has opened up for us for this day.
Leaving the G&M variety at the corner of rte 1a and rte 46 in Dedham at 10am so be there a little early to gas up and grab a sandwich or something for lunch.  There's also a Dunkin donuts there.
Trail difficulty I expect will be less than usual due to the dry weather.  Which means you don't need lockers except for some non mandatory obstacles.  There are trails for stock Jeeps and modified Jeeps so come on out and have some fun with fellow jeepers while the weather is still good.  This property is only a few miles from the store which is awesome for the Bangor and Ellsworth folks.

Myself, Nate, and Aaron had a fun day wheeling at Cap Rock.  The traction was awesome which allowed some tougher lines to be taken here and there.  Unfortunately Nate suffered rear upper control arm disconnect x 2, and a broken front shaft.  We scouted a small loop that could add some fun to the far right corner of the property.  It will require some small saplings to be cut as well as filling a 6ft deep crevasse somewhat with logs.

A big thanks to Gene for letting us play at the Estates :)
