Canine? I never forget him. Or his food, water, and warm doggie clothes...

I am glad you put hand sanitizer on the list ... it has many uses not just for its intended purpose. You can use it as fire starter (same exact thing chemically as pellet stove lighter gel) It can also be used in an alcohol stove (if you don't have one you can make one with a couple aluminum soda cans)

Awesome skill to know!

Try it at home before you have to do it in the field!

Good kit Dawn, but I would add some extra batteries and dry gloves and socks.

I have a similar kit, but because I venture away from the jeep. I carry a roll of flagging tape and a sharpie. I also have roll of gorilla tape a poncho and a space blanket. I also carry a significant amount of paracord.

I have a whisper light dual fuel stove, so I can burn fuel from the jeep and I have a small pot.
